It's update the blog day!

Mormor was still here at the beginning of the week, and June loved sleeping with her on the futon.
This week June learned about boats. So we made her a boat out of a cardboard box.
Here she is with Mormor and Korbin.
Monday was also pretty nice outside so we decided to go walk around downtown Lexington.
This is right outside my mom's favorite shop. The stroller wouldn't fit through the small shop doors, so we were waiting outside for her.
Derek had a game at Virginia Military Institute on Tuesday. Here are some pictures. I thought the team played very well. I also had my wonderful mom there to help me with the kids so I was able to enjoy it a bit more.

Friday night is movie night for our family. And here is June with mama's coat on ready to start her show.

It started snowing Saturday all day and our Relief Society activity got canceled, the doctor's offices were all closed, and church got canceled the next day. As you can see it is a good amount. But, still kind of funny that everything shuts down when it snows. :-)

Luckily Aunt Annie was nice enough to take June out to play in the snow while Daddy and Mommy got some work done.
June in her basketball clothes with Korbin.

When we get snowed in June likes to play basketball to keep entertained. She is getting pretty good. And the other video is Korbin taking his first steps. It was Wednesday right after Aunt Annie arrived.

Me and Derek outside the D.C. temple. With our friend's baby Owen. It was really cold so we didn't want to take him out of his warm car seat stroller.
June's horse puppet from the library. She loves bringing this one home.

Korbin is always such a happy smiley boy. I am trying to show how long his hair has gotten over his ears.

Our Week in Review

We had a pretty exciting week this week. Derek had a game in Newport News on Tuesday and won by 17. He had another absolutely amazing game in Maryland, more like an amazing last two minutes of the game. It was really fun to be able to be there and see it. June learned about Ears, the color pink, the letter R , and the number 18. She is getting so smart it is really fun to be the one teaching her. We also got her favorite horse puppet from the library and she has been in heaven all week playing with it.(pictures will follow.) Linda has kept busy with taking care of the kids and the homeschooling. Korbin has had a good week. He is just getting over yet another ear infection. He takes after his mother I guess. :-) His hair is also getting pretty long over his ears and will have to be cut soon.

But, I think the most exciting thing to happen is Mormor came to visit! She flew in on Wednesday night at 11pm in Baltimore. Luckily our really nice friends Elizabeth and Tyler agreed to sleep over with the kids so both me and Derek could go and pick her up. The kids are having such a blast with her. June calls her "My Friend", and Korbin loves to cuddle with his Mormor. We are going to be so sad when she leaves.

Derek and I were also able to go the D.C. temple for the first time this week. It was really beautiful. And it was so nice of my mom to watch the kids all day on Saturday so that we could go.

First matter of business, look how cute our kids are in their church clothes. And yes please ignore the mess behind them. June likes to pull her new rug all over the apartment.

We did it.

We got a blog, finally! And now we are hip. :-) Soooo now what do we do?
