Korbin Turns 1!!!!

Korbin turned one on Feb.24th, I can't believe how fast it went. Here is a cute little poem I found about the first year.

Baby’s first Birthday

Teddy bears and seas of blue
Smiling in honor of you
An infant, not long ago
Now, one candle is aglow
You are growing up so fast
How quickly a year has passed
You are special, sweet, and wise
A present before our eyes.

For a year, we've watched you shine
An angel I can call mine
Sent from Heaven, just for me
Filled with hope and dignity
A blessing, now and always
You brighten all of my days
Precious child, I love you so
More than anyone could know.

Baby's breath and sun-filled skies
Ladybugs and lullabies
Starry nights and bright moonbeams
Tender hearts and lasting dreams
Each, a gift within your view
During this time, made for you
May only good things come your way
On this, your very first birthday.

This is Korbin, Tinsley and June playing ball at the party.
Korbin in the birthday cake. He didn't like the taste of it, so he decided to just paint himself with chocolate.
June, on the other hand, loves the taste of the cake.
Aunt Annie at the party, with her favorite book.
Korbin's friend Jacob brought his tent and tunnels. Korbin loved them.

Korbin is my little shy little boy. This was after they got done singing happy birthday.
Korbin blowing out his cake. He had no idea what to do so Derek had to help him.
Korbin's first taste of the chocolate. He obviously doesn't like it much. :-)
He loved painting himself.
Korbin got these cool building blocks from our friends, the Laurents. He loves them.
He got these really soft Elephant and Monkey puppets from his friend Jacob. He loves snuggling with them.
He got this really cute outfit from Baby Owen.

We had a pretty good party. I was so glad everyone showed up. It was fun chit chatting with the other moms, and the boys (including dad) had fun playing with Korbin's truck.
